this silence stayed with me during the day,
and brought me all the way thru to the night.
and just when i thought i was strong enough to withstand anything,
a rush of emotions came barging thru and washed me to my feet.
and here i was, defeated,
with nothing to hold on to,
and only silence stays be me tonight.
